Annual event raises funds for Children’s Cancer Family Foundation of Northeast Wisconsin
APPLETON, WIS. / May 5, 2026 / AVIATION NEWS—Appleton Flight Center proudly supported the Children’s Cancer Family Foundation (CCFF) of Northeast Wisconsin by hosting its annual Gold Ribbon Gala on April 10, helping raise a record-breaking $250,000.
Organized each year by the foundation, the Gold Ribbon Gala provides critical funding for families facing the challenges of childhood cancer. Proceeds directly assist with medical expenses, travel costs and everyday needs, while also supporting emotional care, family support and resources throughout treatment.
As an Entertainment Sponsor, Appleton Flight Center—the sole FBO at Wisconsin’s Appleton International Airport (KATW)—partnered with A-Mazing Events and CCFF volunteers to transform its expansive 31,000-square-foot hangar into the setting for “Monte Carlo Nights.” With expert coordination and planning, the unique venue housed an evening of live auctions, casino-style gaming and dining, offering guests an unforgettable experience in support of a meaningful cause.
The special event also highlighted real family experiences through powerful stories from childhood cancer survivors, underscoring the foundation’s belief that “no one fights alone.”
With increased capacity at this year’s venue, attendance grew significantly, enabling the foundation to raise more than $250,000—the highest amount for the gala to date. Additional donations are still being collected, with final totals expected to climb even higher.
