Women in Aviation International Chapter hosts Girls in Aviation Day in 2024
Fargo, ND – The Northern Planes Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) is excited to announce the second annual Girls in Avaiation Day, a free event designed to inspire and educate local youth about careers and opportunities in aviation. This year’s event will take place at the Fargo Air Museum on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We expect to welcome 150 to 200 children ages 5 to 18, along with their chaperones.
“Our goal is to empower local girls by showcasing the exciting career opportunities available in aviation right here in North Dakota,” says Kate Feitel, President of the Northern Planes Chapter. “There will be a variety of hands-on STEM activities put together by our exhibitors and volunteers, allowing the girls to engage directly with the fields of engineering, aerospace, and more.”
On September 28, the Northern Planes Chapter will join Women in Aviation International chapters across the globe for this outreach event, uniting to inspire the next generation of women in aviaiont. Participants can look forward to engaging hands on activities, the chance to meet women from various aviation and aerospace industries, and much more.
