Orlando, Florida – Sheltair welcomes GPI Geospatial Inc. (GPI), a premier geospatial solutions provider, who has chosen Sheltair’s new development at ORL as their Florida headquarters. GPI has leased 10,906 square feet of hangar space and an additional 11,000 square feet of office space in adjacent Sheltair facilities. Besides housing its aviation department, the base will also welcome engineering, planning, and IT staff.

It’s no surprise that GPI and Sheltair found in each other a great partnership. Both companies quickly identified that they share similar values, where customer satisfaction and positive employee culture serve as the foundation for delivering quality services and products. It is this same philosophy that allowed Sheltair to provide a built-to-suit space forGPI, highlighted by beautiful ramp side views on the east side of the building and city views on the west. By leasing Sheltair’s FBO terminal building’s entire third floor and hangar 12, GPI ensures that its 40+ employees at this complex can enjoy a safe, modern, and ample workplace.

The combination of Orlando Executive Airport’s location and Sheltair’s state-of-the-art facilities proved to be an essential part of GPI’s decision-making process. Sheltair spaces allowed the company to bring its operations and data acquisition teams together for a more efficient approach while also finding client proximity by being in the center of the state of Florida. GPI has based the company’s twin-engine Piper Navajo and two Cessna-206’s at
their new hangar, all of which are equipped with the latest generation of advanced aerial LiDAR sensors and cameras.

GPI’s aviation department is already operating at ORL; however, the current COVID era has forced them to delay the new hub’s grand opening until April 2021. Simultaneously, Sheltair continues to observe and implement strict CDC and NATA Safety 1st Clean protocols to ensure it sustains its vital role in supporting GPI and all of its general and business aviation customers.
