Loyd’s Aviation Announces Stage II IS-BAH Safety Certification
Loyd’s Aviation has been awarded the Stage 2 International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) registration designation, signifying commitment to the company’s three tenets of operation: Safety, Customer Service, Integrity. In 2018 Bakersfield Jet Center became just the 133rd company in the world to receive the IS-BAH designation, and remains the only company in both the San Joaquin and Sacramento Valleys to hold it.
IS-BAH defines internationally recognized industry best practices for business aircraft ground handlers and features, at its core, a Safety Management System (SMS). The IS-BAH Stage II Certification is the second of three levels of the highest possible safety standards available to FBOs. This rigorous certification process demands time and dedication as well as a robust safety culture within the company, providing assurance to customers and employees alike.
“I’m proud of our team for consistently striving for excellence” says Ryan Crowl, President of Bakersfield Jet Center.
Bakersfield Jet Center by Loyd’s Aviation is the longest tenured FBO located at Meadows Field (BFL) in Bakersfield, CA. Founded in 1958 by Byron Loyd, and succeeded by his son, Steve Loyd, they engineered the development of Loyd’s Aviation, later known as Bakersfield Jet Center, through hard work and customer service; priorities still prominent throughout the company today. BJC is a full-service FBO that offers aircraft fueling, parking and hangar space, maintenance, charter, parts and aircraft sales.
